Christian Dolan

Editor-in-chief

Jayce Carberry

Writer, blogger, Activist

Christian was diagnosed in August 2009. After 18 months of denial, anger, resentment, frustration, clinical depression, counselling and therapy Christian gained control of his illness, no longer letting it control him.

It was at this point he decided he wanted to make a change for the better and raise awareness whist trying to break down the stigma that unfortunately still surrounds HIV.

A keen runner, IT wiz and social media enthusiast, Christian decided to utilize his skills to raise money for HIV/Aids by running the 2011 Brighton Marathon (finishing in 4hrs 39 minutes!).

By 2012 Christian was openly tweeting about his status, raising awareness by any means possible. 2013 Christian became a regular writer for Positive Lite, was interviewed by Love It Magazine about the effects of HIV and dating and by BBC Radio Live for World Aids Day.

In his spare time Christian enjoys running, currently training for the London marathon and later in the year a triathlon. tweeting, a lover of Netflix and going to watch & support his team AFC Wimbledon.

Jayce was diagnosed in the summer of 2012. He didn't hind his status, instead, he started blogging to give his friends and family a better understanding of the mental impact it had.

When Jayce realised his blog was being read across the globe and helping people, he started campaigning against the stigma surrounding HIV, raising awareness and taking part in events to raise money for various HIV/AIDS charities.

In 2013, after experiencing stigma first hand, Jayce's campaign for change in policies at the DWP (Department of Work & Pensions) was featured in newspapers, magazines, on radio, TV and was also featured on news websites internationally.

Jayce is currently working on his next campaign with edUKate Training, a training company owned by his mum, who has actively supported his campaigning an even taken part in a video blog talking openly about her reaction, thoughts and advice.

Jayce spends his spare time playing the piano, reading and enjoying time with friends and family.
